Serendipity

Two days ago, I caught a very sweet movie on channel one. “Serendipity”- starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. I have to say that I did something that I thought I would never do. I waited through the commercial breaks for the movie to continue, and I must admit that I enjoyed it very much.

Based on this website, serendipity is defined as: good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries

Jonathan and Sara bump into each other while Christmas shopping in Bloomingdale’s, when they both grab the same pair of black cashmere gloves at the same time. They go for coffee at a café named Serendipity which, Jonathan discovers, is Sara’s favourite word. A firm believer in the power of fate, she refuses to give Jonathan her phone number – instead, she writes her name and number inside the cover of a book, which she then sells to a secondhand bookshop, telling him that if they are meant to be together, the book will find its way to him. Likewise, she makes him write his number on a banknote, which she promptly spends, telling him that if fate decrees it, the note will find its way back to her. A few years on, Jonathan and Sara are both engaged to other people, but each keeps thinking about whether the other is their true soulmate, and then they start to see signs which they interpret as the fates trying to tell them something…

For more comments on the movie

The movie shows you how fate plays little games with us all the time. We see signs everywhere, but very few people take time to interpret those signs. It does however, warn you not to challenge fate.

I must say that I tend to look for signs everywhere. Sometimes I become very spiritual. I also believe that if something is meant to happen, it will happen! The movie is a romantic comedy and I just love this type of movies. I’m a hopeless romantic afterall.

I’m thinking of going to the movies tomorrow, and suggestions??

oh, really ? you know serendipity ? that’s very great!

Serendipity is not just something that’s happening unexpectedly.it’s more than that, it’s how the person interprets the actions & issues around him/her.

in the modern sciences, the thinkers discovered that we can learn so many lessons & wisdoms from the simple & silly things as we consider.

we can make innovative ideas from the children’ behaviors & games. you don’t feel that but it’s true and you can try it.

serendipity is associated with our way of thinking, we think mechanically, traditionally, classiclly or we think without constraints, frontiers ?

it’s also associated with our feelings ? how do we feel toward the things that occure regularly ? how our hearts receive these stuffs ?

additionally, it’s associated with the creative capabilties, analytical, diagnostic & conceptual skills that we have.

lots of things would like to say about this topic but inshallah other time.

    nice topic ya creative

    bye

I sorta forgot about this post :$

We take many signs around us for granted.
Think of the people you seem to bump into every now and then. There is a reason for that!
It’s either that they’re stalking you or maybe something is meant to happen!

I believe that if you take more time to observe everything going on around you, you will definitely be able to read the signs more clearly, and will therefore gain a better understanding of the whole world.
